Need Help Regaining Your Health? Blog # 95

Happy Friday Everyone! Welcome back to another Friday blog. As this year rapidly comes to an end and we contemplate plans for our future and make New Year’s resolutions, it is important to think about planning and designing our later years. I’m not talking about financial retirement, although that is very important - I’m talking about our health - our physical and mental wellbeing. I don’t know about you, but I’m not on board with spending the last 10-15 years (and all my assets) unable to care for myself because of physical or mental impairment.

Unfortunately, the majority of us don’t really think about our long-term health until we start having problems - like high blood pressure, sexual dysfunction, weight-gain or metabolic problems. We ignore skin rashes, itchy skin, headaches, menstrual cramps, joint pain, difficulty sleeping, depression, anxiety and many other symptoms - thinking it’s because we are older or ate something that didn’t agree with us. We experience poor sleep, fatigue, restlessness, anxiety, experience brain fog or forgetfulness and reach for that afternoon coffee or espresso to get through our day. Then reach for that glass of wine - or more - to calm our nervous system at the end of our day. we are either self-medicating or getting meds from our physicians.

We hurry along with our busy lives working and striving for a ‘nest egg’ for our retirement not realizing that we will lose it all without our health. However, planning and strategizing to maintain vitality and health during our later years is just as important as the financial piece. If we wait until we have disease the horse is out of the proverbial barn and it’s much harder to corral, turn things around and regain our health. This means our focus needs to be on creating health, preventing disease and paying close attention to what our body is telling us.

We see our MD who tells us to eat less and exercise more. However, this is not the advice necessary to create health. Taking charge of your health destiny and being proactive can be overwhelming and difficult to design and implement. Here’s where a health coach can make all the difference in the world. When you have a health coach who can analyze your bloodwork, identify all the areas driving disease processes, design an individualized program to enable you to achieve your best healthiest self, it is a game changer. If your goal is to prevent and potentially reverse cardiovascular disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Type 2 Diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, PCOS, Fatty Liver (NAFLD), CKD (chronic kidney disease, digestive problems, hormonal dysfunction, migraines, allergies, sinus problems, COPD and more, you will need guidance.

This is where I come in. I approach each client’s needs using root cause analysis and systems biology - that is understanding how all the organ systems in the body communicate and work together. I design an individualized program for each client. So, if you are marching on the path toward disease, have stubborn weight you can’t lose, digestive issues, fatty liver, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, hormonal dysfunction, long covid or even cancer and are looking for a real solution that doesn’t involve taking a bunch of prescription drugs - that don’t cure anything - send me an email - julie@thevirginoliveoiler.com - and let’s get started on your health journey!
